Commissions

My commissioned portrait process starts with an in-person sitting over one or two afternoons in my studio in Cambridge. During these sessions I will get to know the sitter while sketching them to understand the structure of their face, and take some photos to work from. We’ll also discuss the composition and colours the sitter would like in the final piece.

The painting will take around two months to complete, and should be returned for varnishing after six months to ensure it lasts for years to come.

My prices start at £500. There’s a deposit of £50 payable from the first sitting, with the remainder due if you accept the painting.
